About Virtual Bubblewrap Virtual Bubblewrap was first created in 1996 by me, (OpalCat,) and a guy named Clint Baker. We did it late one night on a mission to create the stupidest thing we could think of... the thing that just would NOT translate to the online medium. Back then it was straight HTML. You clicked on some of them and they took you to a page that said "pop" or "fssss" or scolded you for clicking on an area that wasn't a bubble. Then I made a version that required frames. Each bubble was a frame and when you clicked it, you got a page with a popped bubble and a background "pop" sound embedded. Next came the javascript version and then a really lame Flash version... The current Flash incarnation was created by Thwack, who still isn't sure how he wants to be credited on here. The Virtual Bubblewrap Flash movie, bubble wrap graphics, site graphics, and the name "Virtual Bubblewrap" belong to this site and are not to be used by anyone else without written permission, on pain of death.
